LAURINBURG — The Lady Scots soar past the St. Pauls Bulldogs 3-0, improving to 2-0 on the season.
Scotland handed the Bulldogs all they could handle, walking away victorious in a sweep. The Lady Scots would win each set handily, 25-17, 25-8 and 25-20.
After struggling against Fairmont in Tuesday’s season opener, the sweep provided a much-needed confidence boost.
“We did not want Tuesday’s performance to carry over to the first set of the game,” head coach Adam Romaine said. “The mindset was don’t play down there to level and let’s create our own energy.”
“If we can play like how we did in the second and third set, we’re going to be a good team when conference comes around,” he added.
The Lady Scots (2-0) will now travel to Hoke County for their first road trip of the season Thursday at 6 p.m.
