Mrs. Lois Duncan, 92, of Laurel Hill, died peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at the Spring Hill Cemetery on Old Wire Road, Wagram, officiated by Pastor H. Lamar Smith and Pastor Don Malpass.

She was a devoted and loving mother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Allen Duncan, her son Charles Edward Duncan, her identical twin sister and best friend Eunice McCaskil, and eight brothers and sisters.

She was a long time member of Laurel Hill United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and being with family and friends. Her family appreciates the support and love of her friends, church, and care givers that carried her through her final days.

Lois is survived by her three daughters Emily Lois Gamble and husband Jimmy of Fremont, Jane Duncan Stogner and husband Joe of Callaway, Va., and Mary Duncan Hooks and husband George of Boone, six grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and celebrate Lois’s life at Scotia Village Retirement Community in Laurinburg, following the service on Tuesday from 4-5 p.m.
