Lucille Lurry Pate of Laurel Hill passed away to her Heavenly home at the age of 88 on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013.

Graveside services were held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at Hillside Memorial Park officiated by Pastor J.W. Williams.

Lucille was a daughter of the late Edd and Ludie Oliver Lurry, born on Sept. 24, 1924 in Genoa, Ark. She was the devoted and loving wife of 64 years to the late Reedy Pate. She worked as a caregiver with Scotch Meadows Nursing Home and later retired from Ingraham Manufacturing. She was a lover of music, especially bluegrass, Lucille and Reedy often traveled to many musical events and festivals. She was a great cook and loved her fatback. Lucille enjoyed reading and walking and was born for shopping.

Lucille will be cherished as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will truly be missed.

She is survived by her children Gloria Kay Phillips and husband Tony of Laurel Hill, Danny Pate and wife Wanda of Laurel Hill, and Debbie Pate Ikner and husband Ricky of Laurel Hill, her six grandchildren: Robbie, Tracy, Jenny, Julie, Mickey, and Jody, and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Lorine Beaver of Arkansas.

The family requests that instead of sending flowers, please take your mother out for dinner.
