Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at the Union Light Baptist Church with burial following in the Church Cemetery.
Bobby was born on March 27, 1950 in Scotland County, son of the late Smitty and Rosa Bell Locklear. He worked in construction, retiring after many years of service. He was talented with wood working and cabinet making. He enjoyed raising livestock and tinkering on cars. Bobby loved helping others in need.
He is survived by his wife of 44 year Ethel “Naomi” Locklear of their home, sons Gary W. Locklear and Tim Locklear both of Maxton, brother Jerry Locklear and wife Annie Lois of Maxton, sisters Jessie Lee Locklear and husband Rufus of Gibson and Allene Barton and husband Charlie of Prospect, eight grandchildren: Casey, Kelly, Gary Jr., Shania, Alexis, Leeah, Damien, and Devion, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at the Union Light Baptist Church in Maxton.
