A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Aaron Temple United Methodist Church in Bennettsville, officiated by Pastor Shawn Weeks with eulogist the Rev. Christine Madison. Burial will follow with military rites at Bennett-Quick Cemetery in Bennettsville.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy McCollum of Bennettsville, daughter LaTrenda M. Short of Wallace, S.C., three sisters: Myra (Paul) Thomas of Bennettsville, Mary Purvis of Bennettsville, and Vivian Hancock of Pennsylvania, and four grandchildren.
