Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel with burial following at Scotland Cemetery. The Rev. Howard Hardin will be officiating the services.
Genell was born on Oct. 19, 1950 in Scotland County, daughter of the late Alex and Lillie Craft Sanderson. She was a devoted homemaker and worked in textiles with Waverly Mills, retiring after many years of service.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Jack Deese, Jr., and brothers David Sanderson and Lenist “Terry” Sanderson.
Genell is survived by her daughter Patricia Ann Barber of Laurinburg and three grandchildren: Joel D. Barber, Michael T. Deese, and Matthew B. Deese.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
