Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Davis Hudson, 78, of Laurinburg passed away at her home on Saturday, June 16, 2012.

A private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Hillside Memorial Park officiated by Pastor Kenneth Blease.

Mary was born in Richmond County on Feb. 24, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Lonnie and Mable Terry Davis and the beloved wife to the late Thomas Alvin Hudson. She was a precious mother, devoted homemaker and worked in textiles retiring from WestPoint Stevens, Inc. after 34 years of dedicated service.

In addition to her parents and husband, a brother, John Winston Davis, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Hudson is survived by her five children: Thomas Alvin Hudson, Jr., of Laurinburg, Alywin Derrel Hudson of Laurinburg, Ruth Hudson Bryan of Raleigh, John Coble Hudson of Laurinburg, and Curtis Wayne Hudson of Laurinburg, sisters Frances Ransom of McColl, S.C., Jean Farris of Hamlet, and Janie Snipes of Hamlet, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a special friend, Bonnie Hunt.
