Because he had acknowledged Jesus Christ as his Savior, we are confident that he has taken up residence in his heavenly home.

Bill, a WWII Navy veteran, was born on April 5, 1926 in Rome, Ga., the son of T.M. Lumpkin and Battie Lumpkin. He retired from Brown Distributing Company in Atlanta, Ga. He was an avid golfer and world traveler.
His wife Sybil Adams and daughter Jean preceded him in death. He leaves behind daughters Gail Lyle (David) of Rougemont and Joan Mastrangeli of Suglarland, Texas. Also left behind are seven grandchildren: Mark (Kim), Scott, and Jill Mastrangeli and Lindsay, Alex, Lauren, and John Scott Lyle and and great-granddaughter Olivia Mastrangeli.
Visitation with the family will be held from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 at Richard Boles Funeral Service in Laurinburg.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 20 at 3 p.m. at Gibson United Methodist Church, 13241 McLaurin Street in Gibson. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery in Gibson.
