To the editor:

“Thank you” seems just not enough to really express how the Christmas Cheer folks, the Church Community Services staff, and Board of Directors wish to express our appreciation. Many, many caring people have shared this year to help lots of children have a Merry Christmas. The main groups are the Campbell Soup Company employees and the Tuesday Cruiser group which each provided gifts, food stuffs, and/or money. Many families, individuals, Sunday School classes, churches, businesses, etc. have “Christmas Adopted” a family or more and shared the love of Jesus.

Christmas Cheer and Church Community Services thanks all of the schools in Scotland County who collected canned food so that the families could receive a bag of food. We appreciate the churches that collected paper products, gifts, hygiene items, canned food, and all of the churches who “Christmas Adopted” families. Many people opened their hearts in order for Christmas Cheer to be able to help 410 families have a “better” Christmas. Our thanksgiving prayer is that God will richly bless all who shared with others in 2012.
