If you love to laugh or make others laugh, you will not want to miss the 6th annual Bold-Faced Liars’ Showdown.

The Storytelling & Arts Center of the Southeast (SACS) in Laurinburg,will present its Fifth Bold-Faced Liars’ Showdown on Jan.19 at its performance center, 131 South Main Street in Laurinburg.

The competition will be held from 2 to 5 pm.

Storytellers with fantastic imaginative lies will compete for prizes and trophies awarded based on scores given by three judges and the audience. Winners will be announced in the evening at the Andy Offutt Irwin performance and the Story Slam, held from 7 to 9 pm.

Offutt Irwin, a favorite of audiences across the country, will be the chief judge during the day and highlight the evening performance.

Tickets to the event are $10 for the afternoon, $10 for the evening, or $15 for both.

In addition to his duties on Saturday, on Sunday, Offutt Irwin will offer a workshop for storytellers and musicians on incorporating music into storytelling, storytelling into musical performances, and the use of humor in both. So whether your first love is music or storytelling, this workshop is for you.

The workshop is from 10 am to 4pm and lunch is included.

The workshop is $75.
