Christopher Allan Bristow, 27, of Bennettsville, S.C., formerly of Laurinburg died on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the First Baptist Church officiated by the Rev. C.F. McDowell, III. Burial followed in Hillside Cemetery.

Chris is survived his wife Kristina Short Bristow, two children: Kinsley Nevaeh Bristow and Briley Lakin Bristow, mother Melissa J. Gause and stepfather Jimmy R. Gause of Bennettsville, father Charles O. Bristow, III and stepmother Phyllis Bristow of Laurinburg, sister Chelsey Odom of Bennettsville, brother Anthony Bristow of Rockingham, and grandparents Billy and Bobbie S. Davis of Latta, S.C. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Charles O. Bristow, Jr. and Mayme Odom Bristow and his grandfather Charles Wayne Jackson.

Chris, also known as “Bristow” by his friends and family, was born on Nov. 13, 1985. He was a hard worker, loving father and husband, and was employed by JT’s Salvage Company in Bennettsville.

McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the family.
