Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at the Laurel Hill Baptist Church with burial following at Hillside Memorial Park. Pastor Don Malpass will be officiating the service.
Ann was born in Marlboro County on July 2, 1952, daughter of the late Marvin and Leslie Holmes Woodell. She was a devoted homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked in manufacturing with Rostra Precision Controls retiring after 35 years of service. Ann was as a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church. She loved time with her grandchildren and caring for her cats.
She is survived by her husband Alan Smith of the home, stepson Brannon Smith and wife Nancy of Thomasville, brothers Dell Woodell of Bennettsville, S.C. and Wilbert Woodell of Laurinburg, sisters Margie Ward of Laurel Hill and Doris Quick of Hamlet, grandchildren Emery Smith, Cate Smith, and Julian Smith, and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
The family requests that memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Smith to the Laurel Hill Baptist Church, P. O. Box 367, Laurel Hill, NC 28351 or Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
