Everette Spurgeon Cook, Jr., 58, of Laurinburg died on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Rogers Cemetery in McColl, S.C. Visitation will be from 12:30-1:30 p.m. on Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.

He is survived by his sons Everette Cook, III of Pembroke, Jonathan Cook of Maxton, and Danny Partridge of Arkansas, his daughters Angela Locklear of Laurel Hill, Willie Mae Cook of Maxton, and Cassioppia Farina of Maxton, his brother Ivey Cook of Laurel Hill, his sisters Betty Phillips of Maxton, Juanita Grooms and Sheila Kelly of Laurinburg, and Cindy Tyndall and Linda Rhye of Laurel Hill, and 10 grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Marines in Vietnam and was a mechanic and salesman for Pleasant’s Auto Sales.
