Mrs. Shawna Elaine Britt, 35, of Locust Grove, Ga. passed away on Jan. 2, 2013.
Shawna was born in Clayton County, Ga. and graduated from Jonesboro High School in 1996. She received her BS degree from Georgia State University.
Shawna enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was an avid sports fan, very athletic, and she enjoyed playing softball.
Survivors are her husband Dewey Britt of Locust Grove, daughter Graycen Britt of Locust Grove, parents Timmy and Debbie Norton of Fayetteville, Ga., grandparents Sue and Gene Godfrey of Hampton, Ga. and Lucy Bryson of Fayetteville, mother and father-in-law Joan and Dewey Wayne Britt Sr. of Locust Grove, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services for Shawna will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Sheffield officiating. Interment will be at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m.
