Charlie Ray Boring, 34, of Laurinburg passed away on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2012 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by the Rev. Richard Tyson. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.

Charlie was born on Aug. 18, 1978, son of Carolyn Oxendine Elmore and the late Eugene “Gene” McPherson. He was a talented artist and loved to draw. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents Charlie B. and Edna Oxendine and his aunt Mary Leviner.

Charlie is survived by his fiancé Victoria Lynn Byrd of Laurinburg, his mother Carolyn Oxendine Elmore and stepfather Roger Elmore of Darlington, S.C., sister Angela Pittman and husband Michael of Laurinburg, half brother Ronnie McPherson of Hamlet, uncles and aunts Charlie B. and Carol Oxendine of Laurinburg, Allen and Judy Oxendine of Batesburg, S.C., Daniel and Judy Oxendine of Columbia, S.C., Jimmy Oxendine of Fayetteville and Bernice Oxendine of Laurinburg, three nephews: Christopher Swain, Charles Swain, and Nicholas Swain, his niece Angie Swain, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
