Martha Hinson “Chunk” Jacobs, 63, of Laurel Hill went to her new home with the Lord on Christmas morning. She was of the Pentecostal faith.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Wright’s Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Richard Tyson.

She is survived by her husband Arch Jacobs, her son Timothy Matthews and fiancée Renee Narron of Rockingham, her daughters Tammy Matthews Craven and husband Jerry of Hamlet and Felicia Jacobs Roller and husband William “Spanky” of Rockingham, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and special loved ones Ederson and Linda Chavis and Terry Britt of Laurel Hill.

Born on Feb. 9, 1929 in Chesterfield, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Winford Richard and Mary Katherine Jackson Hinson. She absolutely loved being a mother and grandmother and would do anything for her children and grandchildren.

McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium is serving the family.
