Eileen Chriscoe Blalock, 66, of Laurinburg passed away on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012 at her home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Laurinburg Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Neal Carter with a eulogy by Paul Lemmond. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.

She is survived by her husband J. R. “Buddy” Blalock of the home, two sons: David Blalock (Lisa) of Wagram and Kevin Blalock (Liz) of Arden, her father Clarence Chriscoe of Wagram, brother Johnny Chriscoe (Susan) of Angier, and four grandchildren: Hailey and Reece Blalock and Greta and Anna Griswold.

Born on Feb. 11, 1946 in Troy, she was also the daughter of the late Virginia Spivey Chriscoe. She and two other N.C. Highway Patrol wives were the founders and charter members of the N.C. Highway Patrol Auxiliary, a support group for the Highway Patrol. She also formerly served in mental health while living in Black Mountain and in Laurinburg.
