A rare appearance of the entire Claus family is scheduled to take place next Wednesday at the Scotland County Memorial Library.

Occurring just in time for children to make last minute holiday wish list appeals to the bearded man himself, the event will also feature Mrs. Claus.

Starting at 1 p.m. on Dec. 12 Mr. and Mrs. Claus will host a special story time session for young children.

“It’s a perfect time for pre-school and school-aged children to get in those last minute wishes to Santa before Christmas,” said Denise Dunn, youth services librarian.

And no one is too old to enjoy an appearance from Santa Claus, said Dunn, as library organizers are inviting parents and grandparents to attend the event and take photos of their young ones with the famous duo.

“While you’re at the library it is a great time to select a few books to read over the Christmas holiday period,” Dunn said.

Those with questions are invited to contact the library at 276-0563.

“As always, the library is committed to serving the community and will be happy to assist you.”
