A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012 at Bright Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church in Laurinburg, officiated by the Rev. Garland Pierce. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his son Melvin (Rechelle) Thomas of Fayetteville, daughter Melissa Thomas of Charlotte, and five grandchildren.
