LAURINBURG - Bruce McLeod, 24, of 19361 Arch McLean Road was arrested Sunday for one count of kidnapping and one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to inflict serious injury, according to a sheriff’s report. McLeod was placed under a $30,000 secured bond.

LAURINBURG - Brittany Brown, 21, of Rockingham was arrested Wednesday under a warrant for one count of placing harassing phone calls and one count of assault and battery, according to a sheriff’s report.

LAUREL HILL - Aces Internet Cafe on Andrew Jackson Highway reported a breaking and entering and larceny on Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report. A lock was damaged and $2,000 in U.S. currency stolen.

MARSTON - James Cox, 65, of 15020 Christian Way was arrested Wednesday under a warrant for one count of assault by pointing a gun, according to a sheriff’s report.

LAURINBURG - Pernell Strickland, 16, of 17721 Woodduck Ranch was arrested Wednesday under a warrant for one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile, according to a sheriff’s report. Strickland was released under a written promise to appear in court.

LAURINBURG - Jamie Locklear, 42, of 11220 Pankytown Road was arrested on Wednesday under a warrant for one count of assault with a deadly weapon, according to a sheriff’s report. Locklear was placed under no bond.

LAURINBURG - Kevin Bethea, 21, of 21460 McLaughlin Road was arrested Wednesday under a warrant for one count of larceny, according to a sheriff’s report. Bethea was released under a written promise to appear in court.

HAMLET - Scotty Locklear of Ghio Road reported an incidence of larceny at his home on Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report. Stolen were 60 Oxycontin pills and over $3,000 in cash.
