A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at Ellerbe Grove Baptist Church in Rockingham, officiated by the Rev. Darrell Carter. Burial will follow at Ellerbe Grove Church Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife Helen Hailey of Hamlet, six sons: Quincey (Midrick) Hailey of Gibson, David (Heather) Quick of Florida, Christopher (Nikki) Quick of Raeford, Anthony Johnson of Greensboro, and Reggie McIver and Hercules McIver of Laurinburg, three daughters: Stacey Hailey of Washington, D.C., Terry McRae of Laurinburg, and Robin Covington of Laurinburg, brothers Wally and Richard Bright of Bennettsville, S.C., and four sisters: Livadell Quick, Janice (Peter) Williams, and Joycelena (Donnie) Jacobs of Bennettsville and Mary (Jerry) Gordon of Chesterfield, S.C.
