A Laurinburg man was arrested early Wednesday morning for robbing a McDonald’s employee at gunpoint, according to police.

Around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Fredrick Lawrence McPhatter, 21, of 419 East Covington St. approached Joshia Locklear outside of McDonald’s while Locklear was on his break, shooting near his head and causing minor injury to his right eye, said Lt. Marc Godwin of the Laurinburg Police Department.

Locklear handed over his phone and wallet, at which point McPhatter fled on a bicycle, according to police.

McPhatter was located shortly afterward, travelling across Johns Road. He was arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, and discharging a firearm in the city limits. He was placed under a $40,000 secured bond.

Nobody is perfect. I guess they made a mistake similar to including the word "titile" in your post.

I was expecting from the titile of the article that a gun had become self aware, grew arms and legs and mugged a person for some money to buy what? Bullets?

Imagine my disappointment when it was a MAN with a gun!

Oh well, someday perhaps.
