Another opportunity to give “the gift of life” will be available this Friday at a local church.
Sponsored by the South Laurinburg Area Churches, Stewartsville Baptist Church will host the blood drive from noon to 4 p.m. with all types of blood accepted. Appointments are encouraged but not mandatory.
Scotland County Red Cross Executive Director Carol Ann Lentz hopes everyone will come out to support what she called a “perfect chance” to help others in need.
“Here in the Carolina Blood Region, we have to collect 1600 units a day region-wide to meet the hospital’s demands,” Lentz said. “We hope that you will take the time to make your reservation to give to this all-important cause.”
Donors will receive the chance to enter a region wide contest to win a pair of round trip tickets, courtesy of Delta Airlines.
