Sherry Lynn Glidewell Greenwood, 54, of Laurel Hill passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011.

A Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson.

Sherry was born May 6, 1957 in Richmond County, daughter of the late Fred Samuel Glidewell and Peggy Tart Glidewell. Before her illness, she worked in landscaping at St. Andrews Presbyterian College. She enjoyed making arts and crafts and had a heart for stray animals. She enjoyed the beach and loved spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother, sister and friend.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Goodwin.

Sherry is survived by her son, Robert “Bobby” Goodwin of Laurel Hill; three brothers, Sammy Lee Glidewell of Hamlet, Johnny Glidewell of Ellerbe and Robert Lefler of Aberdeen and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 2 - 3 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Richard Boles Funeral Service.

The family request that memorial donations be made in memory of Sherry to the Make A Wish Foundation.
