Only Mayor Harry Pittman of East Laurinburg filed for an open seat Friday in the Scotland County municipal election.
There is still time left for those who wish to file. Filing in Wagram, Gibson, and East Laurinburg ends on July 15.
Filing for any open office in Gibson or Wagram is $5. Filing for the East Laurinburg mayoral seat is $18, while filing for the East Laurinburg Board of Commissioners is $12.
The first day to file for the Laurinburg City Council will be July 25.
