LEXINGTON, Ky. — The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced the NAIA Regional Awards this week, and two St. Andrews University volleyball players garnered honorable mention honors.

Sophomore outside hitter Angelica Arroyo and junior libero Nora Darrhar just missed out on earning a spot on the all-Northeast Region team after they were named first team all-Appalachian Athletic Conference earlier in the offseason.

Arroyo was second on St. Andrews with 309 kills this year and she also added 168 digs. Darrhar recorded a team-high 491 digs.

Of the 14 players selected to selected to the all-Northeast Region squad, three originated from the AAC — Ana Calaza of Union, Kara Stamper of Bryan and Milligan’s Emilee Linkous. Calaza was named the Region Player of the Year and the Libero of the Year.
