LAURINBURG — Asheville City Schools announced on Tuesday that Pamela Baldwin, Scotland County Schools’ assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction, has been selected as its next superintendent.Baldwin was chosen from more than 100 applicants for that position and selected over two other finalists: Allegheny County Schools superintendent Jeff Cox and Iredell-Statesville Schools deputy superintendent of operations Ronald Hargrave, who on Monday was named Scotland County Schools’ new superintendent.The candidates for Asheville City Schools were interviewed in a series of public forums during the selection process.
