The Scotland golf team has qualified for the regional playoffs. The Scots earned a spot in the eastern regional by clinching third place in the final match of the regular season earlier this week at Pinehurst. The top three schools from the Southeastern conference are going to the regional tournament. Scotland finished third behind winners Pinecrest and second-place Purnell Swett. Lumberton is moving on to the Southeastern Conference championship in soccer after defeating Scotland 2-1 Tuesday. Richmond’s Bradley Brown crushed a ball to center field to push a run across for the Raiders as they spoiled Scotland High School’s senior night by winning 4-3 in a dramatic game.
