Several Scotland County commissioners wondered aloud at this week’s board meeting why the school system decided to spend a $109,000 windfall on perimeter fences for schools rather than offer the money back to the county. More than 100 competitors from throughout the region competed in the subjects of algebra I, algebra II, and geometry.
