A portable building manufacturer held a groundbreaking Monday in neighboring Marlboro County for a project expected to cost $500,000 and create 25 jobs.
DanMarcLLC, the manufacturer of ‘Graceland’-branded portable buildings, will locate its latest facility in McColl, S.C.
The South Carolina company associated with Johnson Brothers Manufacturing, LLC, of Providence, will construct a new manufacturing and distribution facility for customized portable buildings to send to dealers across the Southeast region of the U.S.
“Our partners have committed themselves to this endeavor and we are making certain that no effort is spared in the timely commencement of the final phase of this important project,” Daniel Johnson, one of the partners, said in a statement “Our decision was made easy by the teamwork and the hard work of everyone involved in economic development process in Marlboro County.”
DanMarcLLC has already begun ramping up its initial operations in a temporary setting in the County-owned BORO complex on Maple Street in Bennettsville. Manufacturing is expected to commence in the new facility in the second quarter of next year. The jobs will be created ove rthe next five year, officials said.
