LAURINBURG - Vendor Resource Management reported a breaking and entering and larceny on U.S. 401 North on Friday, according to a sheriff’s report. A cast iron tub valued at $300 was stolen.

LAURINBURG - Fred Strider reported a breaking and entering and larceny on Esther Drive on Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report. A wood burning heater and 10 firearms valued at $13,000 were stolen.

LAURINBURG - Weston Birchall, 18, of 7980 Carnostie Drive was arrested Thursday under a warrant for one count of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of trespassing, according to a sheriff’s report. Birchall was placed under a $6,000 secured bond.

LAURINBURG - Shelley Thrift, 36, of 13200 West Boulevard was arrested Wednesday for three counts of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud, according to a police report. Thrift was placed under a $1,000 secured bond.
