A South Carolina man was injured Monday by what appears to be a random shooting in McDuffie Villiage, Laurinburg police said.
James R. Haley of Clio, was shot in both legs while he was standing outside in the housing project off Carver Street, according to Capt. Kim Monroe of the Laurinburg Police Department.
Monroe said the bullets entered and exited the 19 year old’s legs. The incident occurred at about 10:30 p.m.
A friend drove Haley to Scotland Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released, Monroe said.
Monroe said the shots were fired from an unknown source and that there is no indication that Haley was targeted.
