Sheila Gale Quick and Jeffrey Erick Minschew were united in marriage on Sept. 22, 2012 at the East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church in Laurinburg. The Rev. David E. Wood, uncle of the bride, and the Rev. T. Ryan Jackson officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Linda Wood Quick and the late Lindsey Roy Quick of Laurinburg. The bridegroom is the son of Patricia Arant Minschew of New Bern and George Erick Minschew of Elizabeth City.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her brother David R. Quick on behalf of her parents. The bride wore a white halter trumpet sillouette 1960 Casablanca gown with beaded lace and a scalloped trimmed hemline. The lace was adorned with Swarovski crystals and sequins. She also wore a fingertip veil, trimmed with Swarovski crystals. The bride wore a pearl necklace given to her by her father and carried a bouquet of lavender roses.
The Matron of Honor was Ronnie L. Tunstall of Laurel Hill. Bridesmaids included Sharon L. Quick, sister of the bride, of Laurinburg, Donna C. Quick, sister of the bride, of Columbia, S.C., Tammie M. Phillips of Goldston, Kellie Farrell of Oak Island, Rachel Byrd of Lake Ridge, Va., and Tonya W. Culpepper of Raleigh. Flower girls were Taylor and Ashley Chloer, nieces of the groom, of Apex. The best man was Reid Minschew, son of the groom. Groomsmen included George Minschew, Thomas Pierrie of Pennsylvania, Michael Patterson of Fuquay-Varina, and James Graff of Fuquay-Varina.
Following an outdoor reception at the bride’s childhood homeplace, the couple enjoyed a honeymoon in St. Lucia. The couple will reside in Fuquay-Varina.
