1 Corinthians 1:18 – “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
We are in the Easter season. I have been observing the displays in the stores enticing us to purchase the many items that we must have to celebrate Easter properly. I enjoy the reminder in the refreshing change of the seasons that death has been overcome by life. The restoring of the tress and flowers to pristine beauty, the re-growth of the grass, the warming trend of the days – all speak of the truth of the resurrection of life – and should focus us on the resurrection of The Life – Jesus Christ. Many do not understand why a loving God would allow His Son to die for other people. But, when you come to the Cross, and are in God’s hands – you see that it is the very power of God. We gain a New Hope for Today and the future by coming to the Cross.
