A funeral service with military rites will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012 at Purcell Funeral Home in Laurinburg. The Rev. Sarah Kelley will provide the eulogy. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Purcell Funeral Home.
He is survived by his daughter Tythne Cooper of Baltimore, Md., sons Terrence Cooper of Baltimore, Tyrone Cooper of Baltimore, and Anthony Cooper of Texas, sister Lois Mills of the home, brothers Willie Lee Cooper of Washington, D.C. and Eugene Monely of Laurinburg, three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
