Junius Cornell Jones, 62, of Laurel Hill passed away on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at the McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by the Rev. Harrison Lampley, the Rev. Kelvin Beane and the Rev. D.J. Byrd. Burial with military honors will follow in Rogers Cemetery.

Junius was born on Aug. 19, 1950 in Marlboro County, S.C., only child of the late Junius E. and Margaret Langley Jones. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran that proudly served with the United States Army. He worked as an auctioneer with his late father and was self-employed in construction. He served as a member of the McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church where he enjoyed taking care of the church building. He was an avid outdoorsman and a fan of the Marlboro County Bulldogs Football Team.

He is survived by his wife Chrissy Jones of their home, sons Junius C. “J.J.” Jones, II and his friend Tonya Miller of Laurel Hill and Scott Jones of Columbia, S.C., daughters Latisha Grainger and husband Jon of Raleigh, Tonia Monachelli and husband Carmen of Conway, S.C., and Chloe Jones of the home, 10 grandchildren, mother-in-law Sandra Walters of Obio, brothers-in-law Ray Lawrence and Terry Lawrence of Ohio, and sisters-in-law Cathy Patrick and Tina Lawrence of Ohio.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at the McColl Pentecostal Holiness Church.

The family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Scotland County, P.O. Box 1033, Laurinburg, NC 28353.
