Historic Downtown Wilkesboro’s popular “Third Friday” Open Air Market events return in 2012 on April 20th, May 18th, June 15th, July 20th, and August 17th from 4-9 p.m. Third Friday events will feature downtown merchants, food vendors, local wineries, musicians, regional farms and produce, arts and crafts, demonstrators, and non-profit and civic organizations. Each Third Friday Open Air Market will be themed with live music. Children’s activities will also be provided. Admission is FREE!! The Open Air Market will take place in the town-owned parking area located adjacent to the Wilkes Heritage Museum at 100 East Main Street.
