To the editor:

Article 1 of the Bill of Rights: Freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly and petition.

The emphasis should be on prayer, not on any one person’s opinion, that gives the impression of having an agenda that closely resembles an attitude.

Whether you choose to pray at the courthouse, the firehouse, the cathouse or as in the case of some individuals of the Methodist Church to choose to exercise their First Amendment Right and exercise their right of assembly, and pray where they choose.

Don’t make this into something that it is not. If you elect to stir up controversy over a group or an individuals choice as to where to pray, then bend your pious knee, and pray for deliverance from an attitude that does not reflect the love and compassion of Jesus (remember him?) He’s the one that said “let him who is without sin, cast the first stone.”
