As Tonia is away this week, I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I am excited to start my new role as Membership and Marketing Manager at the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce. I am a native of Scotland County and 1994 graduate of Scotland High School. I have both a bachelors and masters degree in Science from the University of Greensboro. I have worked as an entrepreneur, for non-profits and in the business world and look forward to this new role in the Chamber. My two boys, Eli and Owen, and my husand are excited to support me. I have met many of you already and I am looking forward to meeting many more of you.
Soon, you will see an improved chamber website. It will contain more information and highlight the community calendar. The new and improved community calendar will be the place to check for all events happening in Scotland County.
Another goal is to grow and sustain Chamber memberships. I plan to develop new ways to increase consumers’ awareness of where to go for all of their business, service and shopping needs. Our Shop Local campaign will grow in the upcoming year. Look for some great upcoming promotions to get everyone excited about shopping local.
If you have any ideas of how we can grow or leads on businesses that would make a great addition to our chamber members, please give me a call at 910-276-7420 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
