LAURINBURG — St. Andrews University will hold an open house and orientation session about the Master’s in Business Administration Program from 6-8 pm Tuesday.
“This is an opportunity for prospective students to meet other interested candidates, students in the program and faculty members,” said Business Professor Corinne Nicholson. “They will also get to learn about the program and have their questions answered.”
Information will be provided regarding the curriculum, financial aid, technology and the application process.
The session will be held in Room 104 in the James L. Morgan Liberal Arts Building on the St. Andrews campus with a simultaneous live via the web broadcast.
Live via the web is a synchronous live streaming of the MBA classes that will allow students to participate in the classroom experience, interacting with fellow classmates and the professor, from a distance.
“We are launching the live via the web option for classes this fall, so providing an opportunity for prospective students to test out the technology to learn about the program seems fitting,” said Dr. Wayne Freeman, director of the MBA Program. “Interested individuals can attend the Open House virtually from anywhere.”
For those interested in joining virtually, they can go to http://tinyurl.com/oh8v5f6 a few minutes before 6 pm. For the best experience, be sure to have a microphone and a webcam connected to your computer.
The program on the Laurinburg campus began in the fall of 2012 with the first graduates recognized during the May 3 Commencement Ceremony. With four points of entry for the program, a student can earn an MBA in as little as 18 months when enrolled full-time and in 36 months as a part-time student. Designed for the working professional, classes meet one night per week from 6-10 p.m.
