Arrests


LAURINBURG — Cody Dewayne Bryant, 20, of 12521 McKinnon Drive, was arrested Monday and charged with larceny of a firearm, according to a sheriff’s report. He was held in the Scotland County jail under a $3,000 secured bond.


MAXTON — Javon Nathaniel Davis, 19, of 606 S. Austin St., was arrested Monday and charged with felonious breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering, according to a sheriff’s report. He was given a $1,000 secured bond.


Thefts


LAURINBURG — Hailey Elaine Byrd, of Crestline Road, reported Tuesday that someone took $600 and a set of keys from a car parked at her home, according to a sheriff’s report.


LAURINBURG — Clive Parker, of Bunch Road, reported Saturday that someone stripped a 1996 Dodge Dakota of its motor, transmission, passenger and back window and front and rear license plates while it was parked at a home on Cedar Lane, according to a sheriff’s report. The items were valued at a total of about $2,700.


LAURINBURG — Donald Lee Hunt, of Plant Road, reported Monday that someone took a wallet and two hats from his vehicle, according to a sheriff’s report.


Break-ins


LAURINBURG — Ralph Laviner, of Marston, reported Monday that someone broke into a home on Reed Street and took a window air-conditioning unit, a freezer, fridge, guitar amp and guitar, according to a police report. The items were valued at a total of about $2,200.


LAURINBURG — Floors Galore, at McColl Road, reported Monday that someone had broken into the business and taken a four-wheeler, according to a police report.


Vandalism


LAURINBURG — Charles Oxendine, of Hooper Drive, reported Monday that someone had vandalized a home on Reed Street, according to a police report.
