Crime report for Oct. 18
LAURINBURG — Jeffery McNair, 34, of Biggs Street, was arrested and charged with felonious restraint on Monday, according to a police report. McNair was babysitting his nephew while his sister was working and he traveled out of town with the child and without the consent of the child’s mother. McNair returned his nephew back to his residence early the next day safe and unharmed. He was later taken into custody and given no bond because he was already on probation. He also was served an order for arrest for failure to appear on an unrelated charge and given a $100 secured bond.
LAURINBURG — Tammy Coleman, 49, of Elm Street, was arrested on Thursday under two charges of forgery, according to a sheriff’s report. Coleman was set under a bond of $18,000.
LAURINBURG — Jennifer Riggins, 29, of Ninth Street, was charged with child abuse on Wednesday, according to a police report. An officer responded in reference to a child being left alone in a vehicle in the parking lot of Walmart. Riggins came out of the store with a shopping cart full of groceries.
LAURINBURG — Rodriequez Dockery, 20, of Main Street, was arrested and charged under assault by pointing a gun, failing to heed light or siren and driving while license revoked, according to a sheriff’s report. He was held under a $5,500 bond.
LAURINBURG — A 14-year-old was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart on Wednesday, according to a police report. The suspect placed assorted clothing in a bag and walked out. The items were later recovered.
LAURINBURG — Will Campbell, 58, of East Vance Street, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for communicating threats, according to a police report. Campbell was held under a $5,000 bond.
LAURINBURG — Chad Berry, 28, of Sanders Circle, was arrested on Wednesday and charged for larceny and breaking and entering, according to a sheriff’s report.
LAUREL HILL — Brian Pruitt, 30, of Andrew Jackson Highway, was arrested for communicating threats and assault on a female on Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report.
LAURINBURG — Brandy Robbins, 33, of Gibson Road, was charged under a first degree of trespassing, according to a sheriff’s report. She was released on a promise to appear in court.
LAURINBURG — Everette Jones of Beach Street reported that someone stole a laptop and assorted prescription medicines out of her home on Wednesday, according to a police report.
LAURINBURG — The St. John’s Holiness Church, at Tuskeegee Drive, reported Wednesday that someone damaged an alarm box and door, according to a police report. Nothing was reported missing at the time off the break-in.
WAGRAM — Valinda Pate of Harold Morris Road reported a breaking and entering attempt at North Turnpike on Tuesday, according to a sheriff’s report. The exterior window of the house, the door and the door molding were damaged.
LAURINBURG — The Gustaf C. Lundin & Company, at East Railroad Street, reported Wednesday that someone stole the copper piping off an air-condition unit.
