LAURINBURG — Lion Heart Branding, Marketing and Management and The African American Cultural Society of Scotland County will hold a joint ribbon cutting on Thursday, the Laurinburg-Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce has announced.

The event will be held at 200 Atkinson Street in Laurinburg at 5:30 p.m.

The African American Cultural Society of Scotland County or AACS is a non-profit organization that lives by the decree of eradicating the cultural deficiencies in our community. Nuekie Aku Opata, president of the AACS says the organization strives to ensure that people are educated from various perspectives.

Opata also owns and operates Lion Heart Branding, Marketing, and Management.

“Lion Heart aspires to be the “go-to” organization for all of the branding and marketing needs of Laurinburg and Scotland County and we want to partner with our economic development team to be able to inform the community about thriving businesses in our area,” Opata said. “We want to take businesses into the global marketplace with High-Definition technology and take the guess work out of success for any business.”

The event is open to the public and chamber members.
