LAURINBURG — Approximately 60 members of the Scotland Health Care System Volunteers Auxiliary were recently treated to a Christmas luncheon at the WR Dulin Conference Center.

Auxiliary President Evelyn Allen welcomed the men and women who generously gave of their time throughout the year. “On behalf of the Auxiliary Board I welcome each of you and thank you for all you do,” Allen said. “Please be safe this holiday season and don’t forget the reason for the season.”

Following a traditional lunch of turkey and dressing, ham, and all the fixings, each volunteer received a Christmas gift along with a potted poinsettia.

The Volunteer Auxiliary also provided an event for the children and grandchildren of health care system associates. During the afternoon, children ages 2 to 12 met Mr. and Mrs. Claus to give them their Christmas wish list. Each child selected two gifts to give to family members. Volunteers assisted the children in wrapping their gifts.

Volunteer opportunities are available at Scotland Health Care System. Contact Volunteer Manager Nancy Rogers at 910-291-7314 for information.
