LAURINBURG — A Laurinburg man and his two sisters were arrested in connection to a shooting near Barnes Bridge Road Friday night, according to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the shooting happened near the intersection of Barnes Bridge Road and U.S. 501 south. Neither of the two people inside the victim’s car were injured.
The victim said his vehicle was shot into by Charles Oxendine and damaged by his sisters, Samantha Oxendine and Vada Oxendine, both of Laurinburg, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Officials say all three have the same mother.
Witnesses to the shooting called the Sheriff’s Office with information that corroborated the victim’s story.
Charles Oxendine of Laurinburg was located by deputies on Harry Malloy Road.
He was charged on Friday with one count of discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle. He was released from the Scotland County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond Friday night.
Deputies say they arrested Samantha Oxendine and Vada Oxendine on Monday.
Each woman is charged with two counts of assault with deadly weapon and one count of injury to personal property. Samantha and Vada Oxendine were released on a written promise to appear, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
