Bright Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church will hold revival. Devotion will begin at 7 p.m. and worship will begin at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Rex Anderson of First Baptist Church in Fairmont will lead the program, and various choirs and praise teams will perform.

Bright Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church will hold a yard sale each day at 7 a.m. Household goods and clothing from infants to plus-size adult will be sold. Hot dogs, fish, collard sandwiches and more will also be available.


Sept. 20


Bright Hopewell Missionary Baptist Churchwill hold its Little Miss BHMBC pageant at 7 p.m. Six contestants will be presented and one crowned. Various choirs will perform.


Sept. 21


Bright Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate its 136th Homecoming beginning at 11 a.m. with a service delivered by the Rev. Garland Pierce. The G.P. Gospel Choir will perform. Dinner will be served following worship.

Galilee United Methodist Church will collect gently used shoes, especially sneakers, at the church on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Those interested in donating shoes can also call the church at 910-276-0811 to schedule a delivery date and time. Shoes will be collected until Sept. 30.
