LAURINBURG — Recent SEarCH graduate, Supreet Goraya has been selected as a Jimmy Rane Foundation Scholar.
She excelled in the classroom graduating with a 3.99 GPA.
She was the president of the Beta Club, vice president of the Technology Student Association, and secretary of the Student Government Association and participated in Taekwondo. She also volunteered at Sycamore Lane Elementary, Habitat for Humanity and Willow Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care Community.
“Thanks to this opportunity, I will be able to expand my prospects and pursue distinctive and challenging opportunities that excite me,” she said.
She will attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the fall with plans to study abroad after receiving her degree.
Supreet is among 32 students selected to receive a Jimmy Rane Foundation scholarship this year.
