Arrests
LAURINBURG — Latrell D. Allen, 24, of 419 Elliot Drive, was arrested on Monday and charged with first-degree burglary, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun, possession of a firearm by a felon, resisting arrest, and two counts of probation violation, according to police. Allen was held without bond.
LAURINBURG — Adam Butler, 37, of Rowland, was charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering on Monday in connection with a break-in on Shell Street in February, according to police. Butler is currently incarcerated.
Thefts
LAURINBURG —A Pine Street resident reported a breaking and entering and larceny on Tuesday, according to police. A pressure washer, chainsaw, leaf blower, and hedge trimmer were reported stolen from a storage building.
LAURINBURG — A resident of Millstone Drive reported a breaking and entering and larceny on Tuesday, according to police. An air conditioning unit valued at $2,000 was reported stolen.
LAURINBURG — A utility trailer left on May 8 in the parking lot of Scotland Memorial Hospital on Lauchwood Drive was reported stolen on Monday, according to police.
