Arrests

LAURINBURG — Kenneth Worley, 29, of Lumberton, was charged on Tuesday with robbery with a deadly weapon in connection of a December robbery at Game Stop, according to police. Worley is serving active sentence for other charges.

Aggravated assault

LAURINBURG — A Bennettsville, South Carolina resident reported that she was attacked by five unknown women around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday while walking by the road near McIntosh Apartments, according to police. The victim suffered several small knife lacerations.

Fraud

LAURINBURG — A city resident reported that his debit card was used fraudulently on Tuesday at Food Lion in the Northside Shopping Center to make $159.16 worth of purchases, according to police.

Break-ins

LAURINBURG —A pair of vehicle break-ins was reported around 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday at Scotland Memorial Hospital. A handbag, wallet, debit card, $600 cash, a pair of sunglasses, Social Security card, and North Carolina driver’s license were reported stolen from two vehicles belonging to hospital employees.

LAURINBURG — A vehicle break-in was reported at Prestwick Village on Johns Road on Tuesday, according to police. A pocketbook, hand wallet, debit and credit cards, Social Security card, and checkbook were reported stolen.

LAURINBURG — A resident of Glenn Street reported a breaking and entering and larceny to a storage building on Wednesday, according to police. A push mower, weedeater, chainsaw, and welding machine were reported stolen.
