Shots fired

LAURINBURG — A resident of Nichols Street reported that someone shot through the front door of the residence shortly after midnight on Tuesday, according to police. An adult and two children were inside the home at the time, but no injuries were reported.

Armed intrusion

LAURINBURG — A resident of Mill Street reported that someone entered her home shortly after midnight on Tuesday and pointed a gun at her while searching the residence, according to police. A child, one of two inside the home, fled the premises and the intruder then left. The weapon was not fired and no injuries were reported.

Arrests

LAURINBURG — Jahrel T. Lester, 24, was arrested on Monday and charged with breaking and entering and trespassing, according to police. Lester allegedly broke into a storage unit at Storage Solutions on South Main Street, took photos of items in the unit, and listed them for sale online.

Thefts

LAURINBURG — A resident of Sunset Drive reported that someone broke into a storage building on Tuesday, according to police. A weedeater, roasting pan, and food processor were reported stolen.

LAURINBURG — A Montclair Drive resident reported the theft of a bench and rocking chair from the front porch on Tuesday, according to police.
